Cook by the Book: The Age of Innocence

I am thrilled to partner with Julie Robinson of Literary Affairs to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Edith Wharton winning the Pulitzer Prize. We will explore the social and culinary traditions of the Gilded Age, as inspired by the prize-winning novel, The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton. We may not be able to share a kitchen at this time, but we can virtually cook together and share a meal. Our evening will include a lecture, and the preparation of dinner, followed by a book club discussion of The Age of Innocence led by Robinson, as we all sit down to enjoy the decadent dinner we have cooked.

We invite you to have anyone in your household join you as we Cook by the Book and enjoy our meal and discussion.

Menu:
Cream of Asparagus Soup | Crème d'asperges
Sole with Browned Butter Caper Sauce | Sole à la Grenobloise
Fresh Strawberry Granita | Granité aux fraises

We recommend pairing this menu with champagne.

You will receive an email with the recipes and equipment needed before the event date.
