Parisian Pastries

Just in time for the holidays, let’s explore the rich history of Parisian pastries with a focus on Antonin Carême, arguably the world’s first celebrity chef. Abandoned by his parents at the height of the French Revolution, he began working as a dishwasher at the tender age of 10. Carême taught himself to read and write and went on to become not only a famous pâtissier but one of the most celebrated chefs in the world. Let’s have some fun and bake up a storm!
