Sweet History: A Holiday Chocolate Experience

Step into the rich and decadent world of chocolate with Maite Gomez-Rejón of ArtBites this holiday season! In this festive class, you’ll explore the history of chocolate—from its origins with ancient Mesoamerican civilizations to its rise as a European luxury, and finally to the treats that fill our holiday tables today.

Learn how chocolate has shaped culture, commerce, and celebration across centuries, then craft your own seasonal confections, from spiced hot chocolate to truffles and holiday treats, all inspired by historical recipes.

Whether you’re a history buff, a chocolate lover, or just looking for a fun holiday activity, this class combines storytelling, tasting, and a sweet hands-on creation experience.
