A Taste of Place: Culinary Reflections on Land and Identity

  • Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens 1151 Oxford Road San Marino, CA, 91108 United States (map)

In conjunction with The Huntington’s This Land Is... initiative, Maite Gomez-Rejón of ArtBites invites you to explore the intersection of land, culture, and cuisine. Drawing inspiration from the exhibition's themes of mapping, ecology, and identity, participants will prepare dishes that reflect the diverse culinary traditions shaped by the American landscape.

Through hands-on cooking, storytelling, and tasting, discover how food serves as a medium for expressing the complex histories and identities tied to the land. The menu may include Pickled Wild Mushrooms and Rustic Cornbread.
